Glenda just got back from her month-long vacation at Little Prairie, and in her absence, her Captain-of-the-Guard, Ella has taken over duties as queen. But Glenda is back, and Ella doesn't want to give up the throne! Here are their election campaigns. Leave your vote in the comments, and we will send out the results! GlendaFull name: CABrandywinfarms Fannys Glenda Age: 6 Hobbies: Long naps, and walks along the fence. I also enjoy deep-tissue massages, and the occasional acorn. Political party: What are p-ah-ah-ah-lotics? Hi, My name is Fannys Glenda, but just call me Glenda please. I am running for Queen because I believe that I can make a difference. If I am elected, I promise to check on each and every doe after she kids, and to give a big warm welcome (and sniff) to each and every new kid on the block! EllaFull name: Doug and Cindy Farms Ella Age: 2 Hobbies: I really enjoy just hanging out with my kids. I am very thoughtful, and ruminate on many things, such as our winter supply of Alfalfa and grain. Political party: Are those like cookies? If so-oh-oh-oh-oh I will take 10. Hello! I'm Ella, and those who know me know that I have led our great herd before, and will lead us to greatness again. Long live Fun Size Farm! And don't forget to take off your collar as the grain bucket goes by! What would your first step be as Queen?Glenda: As my first step as Queen, I would lower the rate of broken scurs due to fighting. I would keep the peace, and keep fighting down to a minimum. I have ruled this herd before, and under my rule, Fun Size Farm has prospered greatly. Ella: If I am elected, I will up the feed rates, and lower the milking tax. We should get a higher grain:milk ratio than 1:2-3 don't you think?! If I am not elected, and don't put a stop to this, the rates will go even lower! Suddenly, we will be producing more and more milk for less and less grain! Fight this injustice by voting for me! What would you think the herd would look like with your opponent in charge?Glenda: Carnage. Terror. Innocent kids hiding in fear that the Queen or her descendants will appear and take away their cookies or their place at the feeder. Everything would be fine-and-dandy for the upper classes, which by-the-way includes my unworthy opponent, not to mention her sister and all three of her kids. This is the Queen that we do not want. Elect me if you want a Queen, and not a dictator! Ella: Mass confusion. My opponent would not know how to run a two-goat herd if the other goat was dead! She doesn't know how to keep a herd under control, much less her own troublesome offspring! Just two days ago, Oreo yelled on and off for the whole day. My kids are well-behaved and never do that, and it just proves that Glenda can't even control her own daughter, much less the great herd of Fun Size. What are your views on dogs?Glenda: I believe that little dogs may not be a threat, but as a precaution, all dogs need to tagged, monitored and on probation. Ella: I believe that dogs are a danger to us all. Dogs are the number one predator of goats, and I do not want to see our herd fall because of one. Strike while the puppy is small is where I stand! Do you think that the treat rates are too low? Glenda: Yes. Ella: Yes. Why do you qualify to be Queen?Glenda: I have ran a herd before, and although my opponent also has ran a herd, she is but a mere two years old, while I have the wisdom and experience of 6 years behind me. I have traveled many places, and thus have also seen how it is done in other herds. I love all kids, mine or otherwise, and will ensure that everyones basic goat rights are honored and upheld. Ella: Although my opponent was a capable Queen in the past, I believe that at almost 7 years of age, she has earned the right to a peaceful retirement, away from all the responsibilities of ruling a herd. I, however, am in my prime, both mind and body, and can handle taking care of each and every goat in the herd. I have great plans for this herd, and I know I can make a difference! If you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?Glenda: I would have to say, I would want to be remembered for keeping this herd together, and for respecting and upholding each and every goats rights. #firstamendmentIcanyellallIwantandnoonecanstopme
Ella: I want to be remembered for building this herd into one of most prosperous in all of California. Let's make Fun Size great again! #MFSGA
