Taylor's 2018 kidding schedule
Doe Buck Due Price Comments Reservations
Basics
If you are want to reserve an unborn kid, you must send in a $100 deposit. Just contacting me saying that you are interested is not enough. Your kid will not be reserved until I have received the $100. I reserved the right to choose any kid at any time to retain.
Prices may change (Just to be clear, changed by me. No haggling).
Before you send in a deposit, I would love to dialogue with you to ensure a happy home for both you and your goats (This is not mandatory, but it would be great if you wanted to talk).
If you change your mind about the goat, your deposit will not be refunded. I will refund you the deposit money if (1) The gender of the kid you wanted is not born, (2) The kid dies OR (3) I choose to retain it. If any of these happens, I will (a) give you back the deposit, (b) you can pick a different goat, or (c) you may choose to roll it over to the next breeding of that doe. Please keep in mind that my does usually (not saying it always happens, but usually), are bred to different bucks each year. When I receive your deposit, I will put your initials in the Notes/Reservations column of the doe you chose.
Rules
I will not sell you a lone goat. You must have a goat friend for it at home, or buy two (wethers make nice buddies). Goats are herd animals and do best when they have a buddy. I do offer a buddy-system discount. If you buy two goats together I will give you 10% off those goats (only available for my animals, sorry).
Bucks will be priced the same as does because I do not sell bucks from first fresheners, or from so-so parents. One buck can produce more kids in one breeding season than a doe can in her entire life, so a whole bunch of so-so goats out there? No thanks! Wethers (castrated males) are $100 each or 150$ for two.
I do not take coat color or eye color reservations.
Kids need to be paid for in full before leaving the farm.
If you do not have a reservation on a kid, don't worry, I'll still sell to you, but you might not get first pick.
No goat will be sold for meat, or tethered/staked out (If you want weed eaters, that's perfectly fine by me, but being tied up is a good way to give predators an easy target).
Goats need good grass hay, clean, fresh water ALL THE TIME, and shelter from cold/weather.
Also, as a favor to both you and me, I will not sell you a buck unless I am sure you know what you are getting into. Bucks smell pretty strong sometimes, so if you are starting out with goats, it is best to get either two does or a doe and a wether (a castrated male).
I do not guarantee height, show wins, milk stars/amounts.
If you need any information, don't be afraid to contact us. We will always be happy to talk about our goats, your goats, or goats in general.
If for any reason you need/want to sell your goat, I reserve to right to 'RIGHT OF REFUSAL'. That means if your need to rehome your goat, you call me and I will either buy your goat back at a reasonable price (probably what I sold her for, but extra if she has milk stars or titles) or help you find a new home for her. My feelings won't be hurt; I know that life throws some unexpected curves.
I'M SORRY FOR ALL THE RULES, BUT I PUT THEM HERE IN HOPES THAT NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS WILL BE MADE. :)
Pick up and Pre-pick up
All babies are dam raised. Don't worry about friendliness; I spend LOTS of time with my goats (the babies are handled and cuddled and adored from the point of birth), so all my goats are friendly (Not kidding, they climb all over me. It's ADORABLE). My little goatlings (yes, I know that it's not a real term) are ready to go to their new homes at 12 - 14 weeks old. When your goat is weaned I will contact you. Once I contact you, you have 4 weeks to pick up your goat unless other arrangements have been made. That is PLENTY of time. After four weeks from when I contact you, unless other arrangements have been made, you will be charged $1.50/day for feed and care. This arrangement will continue for up to three weeks. If you haven't picked up your goat by then, it may be placed back up for sale at my discretion. If this happens, any money previously received, including your deposit will not be refunded. And you will still have to pay for the $1.50/day for feed and care while we were faithfully holding your goat.
There is, however, a way to avoid the frustration and expense: please pick up your goat in a timely fashion.
Registering and Names
All goats will be registered before they leave. The pedigrees will all start with Fun Size Farm.
If you have a deposit on registerable unborn kid, you pick the name on the papers. If you are placing a deposit/buying a registerable kid who is already born, then I choose the name on the papers.
I think this works best. If I don't have deposits, then I don't have to worry about a doe named Fun Size Farm Spongebob. If you really want one of my animals, and care about choosing their registered name (you can call them whatever you want, I'm talking about the name printed on a sheet of paper), you can make sure you send a deposit on time.
Wether names are left to your discretion.
I really want my precious babies to go to loving homes where they can show off their potential either in the milk pan or show ring or even just sitting in your lap.
